Remembering Vimy Ridge on Canada Day

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and we honour those who served our country in uniform to give us those freedoms!

Among those brave heroes is Robert Alexander Hood of Harriston. Born on July 1st, 1895, Hood served in the Royal Highlanders of Canada during the First World War. He was killed at the monumental Battle of Vimy Ridge.
