M.P. Nater pleased with continued support for Partners in Employment

STRATFORD – John Nater, Member of Parliament for Perth-Wellington is pleased with the federal government’s commitment of $323,646 in funding for Partner’s in Employment through the Youth Employment Strategy.

Mr. Nater said: “I am glad to see the current government is building on past investments with Partner’s in Employment. This is a great organization, which has provided youth from across Perth-Wellington many opportunities to acquire the skills they need for today’s workforce.”

He continued by saying, “this is a priority that the previous government supported and I am glad the current one has decided to follow it’s lead”.

The federal funding is through the Skills Link Program, which provides funding for employers and organizations who offer resources for youth facing barriers to employment. This program is part of the larger Youth Employment Strategy.

From 2005-2015 over 772,000 young Canadians have gained valuable training and work experience through the Youth Employment Strategy.
