M.P. Nater Launches 2016 Summer Jobs Tour
More Summer Jobs Meetings
For Immediate Release
Minto, ON – John Nater, Member of Parliament for Perth—Wellington, held the first of ten meetings as part of his Summer Jobs Tour this afternoon. The meeting was held near Teviotdale at Bosman Home Front Inc with owners Ed and Tilda Bosman. Bosman Home Front hired one summer student through the Canada Summer Jobs program this year.
A variety of topics were discussed during the tour of the Bosman’s facilities. M.P. Nater discussed the labour shortages many businesses in the riding are facing and the importance of the Temporary Foreign Workers Program (TWFP) for local agricultural companies.
Mr. Nater said, “Bosmans Home Front is a great example of a family business committed to its community. The successes and challenges of small businesses, including this one, have significant impact on our local economy. Over the coming weeks, I look forward to continuing the conversation with employers, employees and local stakeholders on the job needs of Perth—Wellington.”
